Waiting for Summer

I had picked out some fabric on day in the Red Tag section at Joann's on a whim. It reminded my of my best friend Shae, who is currently living in WA, military based. Earlier this week I was in Joann's purchasing patterns (Simplicity $0.99 ea!) and found the perfect shorts pattern. Here is what the finished product looks like:
