Also, head on over to Cherry's blog for the full schedule.
Now for my bock! I found this fun fall pumpkin patch fabric at Joann's a few weeks back and could not resist it (Must make pot holders with the rest). This is the block I started with.
And if you know me, I just had to add a rainbow (ish) to the design, so I added orange and yellow to the mix.
After some trial and error I was able to successfuly FMQ the runner (YAY), and added binding. I also added some applique, suggestion via Stephanie. I love how it turned out.
Steph asked me what I was going to do with it and suggested I donate it to our church for the Octoberfest silent auction. BUT I love it too much to let it go right now. It is the first home decoration I have made for our home. Also (don't think i'm stingy!) I already donated a good 20 items, all hand made, for the auction (not all will be used though). Procedes to charity.
Now for the giveaway! Go here! to be entered to win a sewing stuff grab-bag from my stash.
(Colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Pink, Purple, White, Black)
