Last year I decided to participate in the Super Mario Brothers QAL Hosted by Angela at Cut to Pieces.
This is my finished quilt :) I really loved it and was a bit sad to see it go off to it's owner (it was purchased and promised to my Hubby's cousin, at least it is still in the family!)
Here are some shots with my Kitty "Baby" exploring and claiming it as her own.
I did a QAYG process and it was much easier than doing the full quilt at one time!
A close up of some of the free motion quilting I did on every block.
Looks great! I'm looking forward to seeing it when the other photos come in
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!! My kids used to play that all the time :*)
ReplyDeleteI made a mario block for a pillow - it's such a great pattern! You must have the patience of a saint to cut all those teeny squares :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is a classic. I had been following the QAL and it seemed like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteWow, it's amazing, but that must be some cousin to do all those squares for!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! And good call on the QAYG! Such a fun pattern... It always fills me with nostalgia when I see it. Remember trying to grab the flag at the top of the pole at the right moment to get bonus lives?
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to see Mario Brothers again! I love this quilt. :D
ReplyDeleteLove your Mario Brothers Quilt! So very cool! Great pics of your kitty!
