Some Swap Goodies, Going Out. And Othe Stuff

My secret partner in the Scrappy Mug Rug Swap had a Union Jack Flag in her collage and though I would try it out as I have never made one before. This was my first attempt.

Not so bad, but not enough fabric so I made it very squat and square. I like how it turned out so I will be keeping it for future use, swap or other.

This is the final produce that I will be sending her.

It is a little vintagy, I used a pasily print for the blue and linen fro the background color. For the backing I used this cool treasure map fabric, and the binding is ivy. I feel it is very colonial/1800s. Baby (our new kitty!) wanted to help out.

This block is for the Stash Bee Hive #2 leader for this month. Rachael asked that we not sew the quarters together so she can play around with the design when she receives all the blocks.

This was also my first legit attempt at paper piecing.

My Block Swap Adventure partner for the month of July sent me this lovely which I will be adding to my stash of WIPs.
This was from the August partner:

  4. Wow! You get lots done! I'd love to hear more about the Harry Potter mug(gle) rug swap. My family are HUGE HP fans! Are you a participant in the upcoming 'Wicked Blog Hop', too? I am, it will be my first time. Now to go design something for it.
