Get A Clue and Birthday Giveaway!

Well, today is the day. Ready to get your clue on?
 
 
Everyone is reminising on the good old times when they used to read Nancy Drew. Honestly, she was really my sisters thing. My Grandma had gotten me the book at first but I got stuck on the first one and decided to give them to my sister. Though later on as I got older I tried reading them again and I actually enjoyed them (I will be getting them for my kids some day).
 
Here are my little projects I came up with (though after seeing everyone elses works I find I am some what lacking in creativity).

This is going to be a pillow. Because of all the crazyness of this weekend I have not had a chance to finish it up (required a run to Joann's).

Photo: $30 when finished, this will be a throw pillow. 

This is a pouch I made a friend for her birthday, just 2 days before mine :)

 Since it is (on the 12th) my birthday I have decided to have a giveaway. I have a bag of random black colored sewing/craft items. I will add some more of something to it too.

Requirements: Leave a comment with your fave color (might add something of it in the bag). US only, I am sorry but postage just stinks right now.

    Happy Birthday Rebeckah!! It seems many beautiful and smart people I know have March 12th as their date of birth. Like my grandmother and now a son in law, it's a magical day and hope yours was specifically.

    Oh my You got me with the hexagons. Love those...And I think they are very creative. And the pouch is fabulous also. These days soem fo my fave colors are lime, celery, grey, & mustard. I also love any shade or aqua/ turqoise. And of course black has allways been my favorite. When people used ot ask me my favorite color I used to allways answer black. And people would say black...thats not a real color. U have to like soemthing else...so tehn I waould say turquoise. But as I have gotten older I like a lot of colors now.     Nancy makes great hexies, love them! Hmmm...my fave color alternates between grey and orange these days...I know what you mean about the postage it cost me close to 10 dollars to send a bee mate 2 quilt blocks to England recently...crazy expensive.

    Great projects... the pillow uses the prints really well, and the pouch, is, well... cute!
    There are so many great colors, but I find myself often drifting toward purple.

Thank You for the great chance to win the bag of random black colored sewing/craft items. As of right this second shades of neutral is my favorite color for quilting. I'm collection from white, cream, tan, grays, browns & blacks or anything that reads "neutral" for a project.

    What an adorable pouch for your birthday friend. You are indeed a good friend to give a homemade gift. I saw the picture of your finished hexagonal Nancy Drew pillow. It is terrific. You are generous with your giveaway. My favorite color is BLUE, blue, and more blue. My husband used to say that if he didn't go shopping with me, all my clothes would be blue and sailor. I enjoyed reading your blog and am thrilled that you participated to inspire us. Happy Belated Birthday! (My mother's was on the 10th, my older brother's is on the 11th, my youngest grandson turned 2 on the 12th, and my dad's birthday was on the 27th. We have lots of March birthdays in a small family).
